Past Chapter Seminars

Heartland Chapter - ACFE

The Heartland Chapter - ACFE annually hosts a fraud training seminar to provide its chapter members and local community an opportunity to learn from the nation's most renowned fraud experts.  Not only do attendees get trained from the very best in the fraud investigation field, they also can receive up to 16 hours of CPE, which can be very valuable to keeping professional designations current.

In the past we have been fortunate to hear from fraud investigations experts such as Toby Bishop, CFE, CPA, FCA, President and CEO of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the largest anti-fraud organization in the world with 28,000 members and the parent to the Heartland Chapter.  We have also had Mike Kramer, J.D., CFE come speak to us about conducting advanced fraud investigations.  Mr. Kramer is a world renowned lawyer known for his expertise in fraud investigations.  Craig Greene, CPA, CFE also has presented to the Heartland Chapter on conducting advanced procurement fraud investigations.  In 2002, we were fortunate to have Dr. Thomas Buckhoff, CPA, CFE come and present about financial statement fraud.  He did an excellent job of explaining how the ENRON scandal was orchestrated.  In addition to these wonderful speakers, the Heartland Chapter had the opportunity to have Don Rabon as a guest speaker for the 2004 seminar.  His presentation on detecting deception was the most well received presentation by the attendees in many years.  All of the evaluations for Mr. Rabon's presentation were extremely positive.

If you are an anti-fraud professional you will recognized the names of these experts and should understand the quality of the seminars hosted by the Heartland Chapter.  Make sure you check our Upcoming Events to learn about and register for this year's seminar.  It will be one you will not want to miss.
